Descriptions of Hydrophilic Aluminum Foil
Hydrophilic aluminum foil is aluminum foil which is used in refrigeration equipment such as household air conditioners, refrigerated cabinets, and automobile air conditioners. Hydrophilic aluminum foil is a hydrophilic treatment of aluminum foil, which is treated with a special process and coated with a hydrophilic layer on its surface. The condensed water will spread quickly on the hydrophilic aluminum foil and will not condense into water droplets. It increases the heat exchange area, speeds up the cooling and heating speed, and also effectively avoids the noise caused by condensation water blocking the air flow.
Characteristics of Hydrophilic Aluminum Foil
1. Excellent hydrophilicity and corrosion resistance;2. Good formability and no wear on the mold;
3. Stamping oil resistance, solvent resistance and heat resistance;
4. The air flow resistance is small, and the heat exchange rate can generally be increased by 10%-15%.

Differences between Hydrophilic Foil and Hydrophobic Foil:
Differences between Hydrophilic Foil and Hydrophobic FoilHydrophilic foil has a strong affinity for water. It readily absorbs and spreads water on its surface. This property makes it useful in applications where efficient heat transfer and moisture absorption are important, such as in some heat exchangers and air conditioning systems.
In contrast, hydrophobic foil repels water. Water forms droplets on its surface rather than spreading out. This characteristic makes it suitable for applications where water resistance and prevention of moisture accumulation are necessary, like in certain electronic components and packaging materials to protect against water damage.
The main distinction lies in their interaction with water – hydrophilic foil attracts and disperses water, while hydrophobic foil repels it.
